Friday is our last day of school and I will be saying goodbye to my little kiddos---it's going to be a very hard day. Can you imagine saying goodbye, or as I prefer "see you later," to these bundles of joy you have spent a year with? Ahhhhh! Friday is a celebration for everyone, so we have school activities planned and individual classroom parties--the Nursery party will be food and juice, games, possible a short movie, and a goody bag (I got them all mini tambourines since it's something we use in our classroom daily, candy, and I made their individual picture with me into a frame!) I am going to miss them so much--but I am hoping to visit Honduras again within 5 years to see them all grown up!
Saturday morning Kiley and I are taking off for one last adventure--to Antigua, Guatemala. We have been to Guatemala before, but we only got to enjoy a meal there, and don't feel as though we spent enough time there. Some of the other girls have been to Antigua before, and it looks beautiful! We are going to head there Saturday and return to Gracias Wednesday afternoon. The next day, is the big day, my return to AMERICA! Kiley and I will arrive into CO around 10pm Thursday--I will then again have my wonderful cell phone so I can be in much better contact with everyone :)
Prayers for all of the American teachers leaving Honduras is just over a week--and for the students, as this is something they face each year; saying goodbye to yet another teacher they bonded with over the year. It is not going to be an easy goodbye, that is for sure! Prayers for safe travels as well, and I will probably blog one last time after this about my adventure in Antigua, and my return to the States!
