BIG post before a BIG new experience!

Hi Friends!

Well my "Pure Michigan Summer" sure flew by!  But it was nothing short of amazing.  I arrived back in Arizona late last night, and will be spending time with my family until I take off on Monday.
Update: I received news that some of the other teachers are on the same plane as me from Atlanta to Honduras.  AWESOME!  I'm not sure when everyone will be arriving in Atlanta, but that makes me feel a lot better about my 14 hour layover.  It will be nice to meet new friends before actually arriving in our new "home" for the next school year.  I also received an email from one of the staff members about the current plan for when we first arrive in Honduras--so I thought I would share it with you!

"The current plan is that when most of you arrive on the 9th we will have a bus waiting at the airport.  I will be waiting in the airport so as you walk you get out of Migration and walk out the doors I will be waiting for you.  Once everyone arrives we will get some lunch for those who are hungry and then start loading up the bus.  We will take everyone to Gracias first and everyone will probably be in a hotel for their first night together.  By the time we arrive in Gracias we will probably unload and grab some supper.  After that everyone will probably be quite ready to sleep.  I will explain the itinerary for the following days that night at the hotel."

Now--I already have my living arrangements figured out.  I'll be living in a house with Sarah (who taught in Gracias last year and found the house for us), my friend Jen, and her friend Jaime.  Sarah posted a few pictures of my new home online, so I wanted to share them with you too--it looks simply beautiful to me!

 Our front door--I LOVE IT!

I love everything about this house, especially the fun colors!

*I also changed my website a bit.  The fund-raising for the vitamins hasn't worked out very well, so it is no longer a part of my website.  Now, it is just the "Donate" button on my blog to support my mission.  That part of the fund-raising is going very well--you all have such giving hearts!  The fundraiser is on-going.  The money raised will still go towards much needed school supplies, and possibly the essential vitamins the children are lacking, which I would just purchase myself now, with some of the money donated.  I will be updating the website more once I am in Honduras and I am able to figure out how to make the biggest difference! Check out the funds that have been raised so far on my website (top right corner on this blog), or check it out for the first time to learn more about the fundraiser!  Thank you again for your blessings!
